Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav took information about the preparations being made across the state for Geeta Jayanti and International Gita Mahotsav to be held on December 1. He gave necessary instructions to the officers.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the program 'Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh (Governance and Growth Summit) and Investment to Employment (Atal Sankalp Ujjwal Madhya Pradesh)' programme. This event is to be held in Gwalior on 25th December, regarding which he held a detailed discussion with the officials.
Dr. Yadav discussed the preparations for Geeta Mahotsav with collectors and police officers of all the districts through video conference from Samatva Bhawan. Senior officials including Chief Secretary Anurag Jain were present in the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that maximum public participation should be ensured in all the programs organized on the occasion of Geeta Jayanti on 1 December. For this, Sanskrit and Hindi copies of various chapters of Shrimadbhagvadgita should be distributed to schools, colleges and common citizens. Besides, quizzes and other competitions based on Geeta should also be organised, so that positive thinking can be promoted in the society.
To participate in Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta Online Knowledge Competition, registration can be done on www.geetamahotsav.com till 28th November. There are three categories in the competition and different prizes have been kept for all. These awards will be presented on 26 January 2026. The Chief Minister directed that more and more citizens should be motivated to participate in these competitions and Geeta recitation at the district level.
The Chief Minister also evaluated the preparations for the Geeta recitation programme. On December 1, on International Geeta Jayanti, recitation of the 15th chapter of Shrimadbhagwadgita will be organized at all the development blocks, district and divisional headquarters of the state. Its objective is to convey the human welfare message of Lord Krishna to the people. Along with Gita recitation, various Gita competitions are also being organized by Veer Bharat Trust, in which a large number of students are participating.
