New Delhi: US President Donald Trump had imposed 50 percent tariff on India, due to which speculations of tension in relations between the two countries had started. However, now good news has come regarding India-America relations. India has signed an agreement worth Rs 7,995 crore with America.

The Defense Ministry has signed a five-year contract with the US to help produce and maintain 24 MH-60R Seahawk Romeo helicopters in service with the Indian Navy. Both countries have signed the Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA). This decision will be in effect from 2025 to 2030.

This agreement between India and America is a follow-on support agreement. Under this agreement, America will provide spare parts and support equipment for Seahawk helicopters, training of pilots and staff, and technical support.
