Influencer Niamh Cullen's husband Jamie has tragically died aged 33 just one year after the couple married.

Taking to Instagram to share a heartbreaking video of the couple in happier times, she wrote: "The unimaginable has happened. Our worst nightmare. My beautiful husband has been taken from us.

Just weeks ago Niamh shared the news of her husband Jamie's cancer diagnosis, RSVP reports. The influencer and her long-time love tied the knot one year ago, and Jamie became seriously ill on day three of their wedding.

Two weeks before Christmas, he underwent surgery where a cancerous tumour was discovered. Taking to Instagram to pay tribute to her husband one year on from their wedding day, Niamh shared with followers what the couple have been going through.

She wrote: "What was meant to be a minimoon in Rome turned into ten days in hospital. We returned home where Jamle had some scans and conversations about next steps.

"Just two weeks before Christmas, Jamie underwent major surgery where doctors discovered a cancerous tumour.

"Our world shattered in an instant, but we stayed strong. Jamie bravely faced 10 rounds of chemotherapy. There were ups and downs along the way, but nothing could have prepared us for what followed after his 10th session. He was rushed into hospital by ambulance, where he developed pneumonia that turned sepsis, just hours after his chemotherapy. It was scary and really not good. Not long after, he was rushed again to hospital with unbearable pain. We were given the devastating news the cancer had returned.

"My world feels broken, my blood still runs cold, but i know this my husband is a fighter. We will not give up."
