Ayush Mhatre made a new record in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

New Delhi. Mumbai’s young player Ayush Mhatre gave a unique performance against Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scoring a brilliant century in 49 balls. This is the first century of his T20 career and with this achievement he has become the youngest batsman to score a century in all three formats of professional cricket – First-Class, List A and T20. In this case, he has broken the record of former Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who had achieved this position at the age of 19 years 339 days.

Ayush Mhatre’s explosive performance

The match was played on Friday at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, where Mhatre played an unbeaten inning of 110 runs in 53 balls. Thanks to his explosive innings, Mumbai completed Vidarbha’s target of 193 runs with 13 balls remaining. Mhatre hit 8 fours and 7 sixes in his innings, while Shivam Dubey also played a quick inning of 39 runs in 19 balls. Vidarbha team scored 192 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs, in which Atharva Tayde and Aman Mokhade scored half-centuries.

Youngest batsman to score century in all three formats

Ayush Mhatre has now topped the list of youngest players to score centuries in all three formats. Apart from him, Rohit Sharma, Unmukt Chand and other players also achieved this feat. His age and freshness brought him to this special position.

future plans

Ayush Mhatre has been in great form since the beginning of this year, which is good news for him, the India U19 team and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). BCCI recently announced the U19 squad for the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Asia Cup, with Mhatre named as the captain. Apart from this, CSK has also retained him for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
