Rylan Clark humorously questioned "what is wrong with me" after confessing his spending habits. The Radio 2 star quipped that he was single-handedly keeping "that A to Z place in business" due to his frequent online shopping.

This came as Rylan confessed to recently buying a robot vacuum online. The celebrity, who recently revealed his purchase of a central London property as a "work-flat", also admits to employing someone to clean his home.

Rylan's confession came after he told listeners about his decision to buy an intercom for the property. He said: "I ordered a robot hoover yesterday when I've got a cleaner - I don't know what's wrong with me."

He continued to say that he has a parcel box at his house to avoid missing his regular deliveries, joking: "I've got a parcel box at my house because I keep that A to Z place in business, pretty much every day."

Rylan further disclosed that he also owns a robot lawnmower at his Essex home, which he has amusingly named in honour of a BBC icon. The star said: "I call him Alan Techmarsh. He's a love, I love him. Honestly, I set him off and he does all the lines in the grass and makes it look nice. I love him. Alan Techmarsh, I love him, he's my favourite pet."

In August, Rylan informed Hunger magazine that he had bought his fourth property, a "work-flat" in central London. His previous home was a "fixer-upper" that he purchased for his mum Linda, who regularly features on the star's social media feeds.

He also owns a breathtaking five-bedroom mansion in Essex, where he records Celebrity Gogglebox alongside Linda. In fact, he credits the Channel 4 programme with inspiring him to transform his home in 2023, softening the previously minimalist interior.

Speaking to House Beautiful, he revealed that the decision followed a major personal transformation. Rylan, 37, said: "This is the second house I've designed. In my first house, everything was white, everything grey, with just one colour in every room.

"When I built this house though, I put in polished concrete floors, everything was cool white, that was seen as ultra-modern. But then when I went through a bit of a life change, I thought f*** this, and went from cool white to warm white, silver to gold, greens... it's all a lot warmer now."

This isn't the first time Rylan has opened up about the details of his residence. The Eurovision presenter also posted photographs of his home on Instagram earlier this year, giving fans a peek into his private sanctuary.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star discussed his diary room inspired by the reality show, and thoughtful design touches that enabled him to make the space his own. He revealed: "We all know how much I'm obsessed by Big Brother and I have nothing better to do with my time so I built a diary room. It's quite like the diary room as well – which is exciting. Some people sell stuff on eBay from Big Brother – fair enough things are being thrown away but I think it's naughty. They should put it in a museum or something."

The Express reports that Rylan's plush £1.2 million pad also features a mirrored walk-in dressing room and an impressive pool house, where he often posts snaps of himself having a good time with mates and family. The naturally lit area is adorned with grey tiles and white walls, enhancing and extending the luxurious space.

The lavish property also showcases a beautiful outdoor area complete with a patio featuring cream outdoor sofas, a monochrome rug and its very own fire pit. It's also rumoured to have its own bar and dedicated party area.

Rylan presents on Radio 2 between 3pm and 6pm on Saturday afternoons.
