Winter Session: Lok Sabha adjourned amid ruckus by opposition

The Lok Sabha has been adjourned until 12 noon, following a ruckus by the opposition over the demand for discussions during the Zero Hour.
They demanded a discussion on the Red Fort blast case and internal security of India, which the Speaker refused, saying that is not on the agenda of question hour.
The adjournment came right after Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged opposition parties not to disrupt the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament.

The government has listed 13 new bills for introduction in the three-week session, which will have 15 sittings until December 19.
Among the key bills are the National Highways (Amendment) Bill, Atomic Energy Bill, Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, and Insurance Laws (Amendment) Bill.
The Atomic Energy Bill seeks to regulate atomic energy use in India. It proposes allowing private players to set up nuclear power plants, a step toward India's goal of achieving 100GW nuclear energy by 2047.

The government is also likely to discuss India's national song, Vande Mataram, on its 150th anniversary during this session.
