Reliance Strategic Business Ventures Limited, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, and Surrey County Cricket Club have announced a partnership with Oval Invincibles, the famous franchise of The Hundred. Under this agreement, Surrey has got 51 percent stake and Reliance has got 49 percent stake. Along with this, from 2026 both men and women teams will play under the name of ‘MI London’.
The Oval Invincibles is the most successful team in the history of The Hundred, setting a record by winning five titles in five years. The team includes domestic stars like Sam-Tom Curran, Will Jacques, Alice Capsey along with stalwarts like Rashid Khan, Adam Zampa and Marizanne Kapp. The Hundred is Britain’s professional cricket league, which is the only 100-ball format of its kind in the world. With the addition of new teams to the Mumbai Indians family, the MI family has now reached 7 teams in 5 countries. In the last 17 years, the MI franchise has won 13 league titles across the world. Which includes 5 IPL titles, 2 Women’s Premier League titles, 2 Major League Cricket titles, 2 Champions League T20 titles, and one title each in ILT20 (MI Emirates, 2024) and SA20 (MI Cape Town, 2025). MI’s excellent track record makes it the most successful franchise in global T20 cricket.
