05 Dec 2025
Marnus Labuschagne has become the first cricketer in history to score over 1,000 runs in Day/Night Tests.
The Australian batsman achieved this milestone in the ongoing second Ashes Test against England at The Gabba, Brisbane.
Labuschagne scored a fine 65 in the second innings of the game and completed the feat during the course.
Here we look at his stats.

Knock
England's first innings ended at 334/10 thanks to Joe Root's unbeaten 138.
In response, the Aussies were well placed at 77/1 when Labuschagne arrived to bat.
He added 69 runs with opener Jake Weatherald, who made 72, to take his team forward.
The number three batter eventually fell to Ben Stokes, but not before powering his team past 190.
An average of 63-plus in these Tests
Stats
Labuschagne's 65 off 78 balls was laced with nine fours and a six.
The batter, who is playing his 10th pink-ball game, has an impressive average of 63.93 in these Tests.
He has now raced to 1,023 from 16 innings as his tally includes four tons and five fifties.
Travis Head (3) is the only other batter with more than two tons in this regard.
Meanwhile, each of Labuschagne's 10 pink-ball Tests have been recorded Down Under.

Performance
While Labuschagne has gone past 1,000 runs in pink-ball games, Steve Smith is the only other batter with 800-plus runs in this regard.
However, it's worth noting that most players on this list are Australians due to their frequent day/night Tests— almost one every year—while other countries rarely play them.
Despite this context, Labuschagne's achievement remains significant as scoring runs against the pink ball is a major challenge due to its exaggerated movement and visibility issues.
