2025 is finally coming to an end and we got some of the most epic Hollywood films this year. Superman, Wicked: For Good, F1, How to Train Your Dragon and so many others simply took over the box office as if theatres weren’t dying just a few years ago. If you think 2025’s lineup was interesting, you’re not ready for what is to come next year.

There are many films coming out in 2026 that audiences have their eyes on, 4 of which have Anne Hathaway starring in them. As such, an entire list has been released via Alamo Drafthouse that has everyone excited about some of the most anticipated films of the coming year.

Dune Part 3 has more hype than Avengers: Doomsday

Universal Pictures

Everyone who is a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe knows they haven’t had the greatest time since Avengers: Endgame, but that changed with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, that released this year. However, as per the list shared with Collider, it would seem that Avengers: Doomsday isn’t the most anticipated film of 2026. Seems like fans are looking forward to something a lot more than Robert Downey Jr’s return.

The most anticipated film of 2026 is Denis Villeneuve’s Dune Part 3, starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya. This is followed by Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland and Anne Hathaway. This is followed by Avengers: Doomsday, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, also starring Tom Holland.

Robert Eggers’ sequel to Lilly Rose-Depp and Nicholas Hoult’s Nosferatu made it into the top five. Werwulf will once again see the younger Depp actress alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Defoe and Ralph Ineson.

Top 10 most anticipated films promise a jam-packed year of blockbusters

After Werwulf, in the sixth position, we have a Stephen Spielberg film that is yet to get a title. However, what is known of it confirms that it would be a UFO, space adventure film, but it would mark another collaboration with David Koepp after Jurassic Park. In the seventh position, fans are looking forward to Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary.

This is followed by Meryl Streep’s and Anne Hathaway’s The Devil Wears Prada 2 and the film adaptation of the hit series, Mandalorian. Pedro Pascal’s Star Wars character will find himself on the big screen with Mandalorian and Grogu.

Finally, in the tenth slot, we have the sequel to David Corenswet’s Superman, the film that kickstarted the DC Universe. Millie Alcock’s Supergirl was the last film to make it onto the list. 2026 is a big year for films and could mark a series of back-to-back hits.
