A shocking case has come to light in Maharashtra, in which a person, claiming to be a Class One officer in the office of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, defrauded a diamond merchant of approximately Rs 2 crore 80 lakh. This matter has created great concern among traders and the public.
Fraud through fabrication and conspiracy
According to the police, a man named Vaibhav Thakur claimed to have close relations with the Chief Ministers of Uttarakhand, Goa and Maharashtra and duped traders with gold, cash, diamonds and other precious jewellery. Thakur fabricated and conspired several times to carry out the scam. In this case, a case of cheating and conspiracy to commit crime has been registered against him at LT Marg police station.
Scam done in Goa also
Thakar’s exploits were not limited to Maharashtra. He went to Goa and wooed businessmen in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and distributed 31 laptops. Here too he influenced people by showing off his influence and gained financial benefits.
False claim on Chief Minister’s bungalow
Vaibhav Thakur claimed that he can take a car to the Chief Minister’s Varsha Bungalow and has the experience of meeting the Chief Minister. He pretended to take the businessmen to the bungalow in a car with yellow light. However, when the Chief Minister was not present in the bungalow, he hid his lie by making excuses.
