The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has launched the Sanchar Saathi mobile application, designed to make it easier to report suspected fraudulent communications. This app allows ordinary people to flag and report such cases directly from the call log of their mobile phone. Earlier, complaints could be lodged only through the Sanchar Sathi website, but now complaints of any kind of scam and fraud can be lodged through the mobile app also. The new mobile application will further strengthen these efforts, ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers.

Through this app, the mobile user can know whether any other connection in his name has been taken fraudulently or not and it can also be blocked. Additionally, if the original user is blocked, the system can check how many connections there are in his name. Users can also track and block the phone. You can complain about any kind of scam and fraud. Use these steps to block and track a phone On the app and portal, you have to click on the “Block Stolen/Lost Mobile” option. Now you will have to give phone information. Such as model number, company, IMEI number etc. In the next section, enter the place and date of theft, police FIR number and upload the FIR copy. You will then have to enter your personal details including Government ID number, name, email ID and mobile number. After providing all the information, CEIR will put your phone on tracking. After this, whenever another SIM is used in your phone, its location will be traced.
