IND vs SA: Many important changes have been made in the Indian team for the upcoming T20 International series between India and South Africa. The biggest change is the exclusion of young opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal from the team and the return of star batsman Shubhman Gill.
Gill has received fitness clearance from BCCI’s Center of Excellence, after which he has been included in the team as vice-captain. Jaiswal, on the other hand, has been left out of the T20 team, even though he recently scored a brilliant century in the ODI series decider.
After being out of the Test and ODI series due to injury, Shubman Gill has regained full fitness and has been included in the T20 squad. Gill’s return is a big relief for the team, especially considering the preparations for the T20 World Cup 2026, where he is seen as a key batsman and team leader.
Despite his excellent performance in the recent ODI series, Yashasvi Jaiswal has not got a place in the T20 team. This decision is considered to be a part of the team management’s T20 World Cup plan. Jaiswal’s exclusion shows that the selectors are working on different teams for different formats.
