Bolavita Dhani Natak: Famous actor, writer and director Hrishikesh Joshi’s upcoming play ‘Bolavita Dhani’ is currently being heavily discussed in theater circles. Produced by Praveen Bhosle, Bharat Narayandas Thakkar, Samriddhi Tambe, Gandhali Kulkarni and Sunanda Kaluskar, the play is written and directed by Hrishikesh Joshi himself. Playing an important role in this play Actor Kshitish Date (Kshitish Date) spoke candidly about his role and his experience working with Hrishikesh Joshi.

Two distinct roles, the concept of ‘Bolvita Dhani’

Kshitish Date has played two very different roles in this drama. He says, “Both the roles are very different from each other. It’s a bit challenging for me to portray two different people at the same time.” The title ‘Bolvita Dhani’ has different meanings in the play. According to Kshitish, “Bolvita dhani is one who speaks or acts, but there is someone else behind the scenes giving him instructions.” Interestingly, his role in the play is of a junior role compared to leading figures like Lokmanya Tilak or Eknath Shinde, but he finds the challenge as an actor more interesting.

Experience with Hrishikesh Joshi

Kshitish Date is very excited about the experience of working with Hrishikesh Joshi. “I love Hrishikesh Joshi’s writing. I have seen all his plays. Also we are working together in the ongoing play ‘Me Vs Me’. So when he called me for this play, I immediately said yes without a second thought.” Hrishikesh’s selective comedy style makes this play family watchable. Kshitish said that Hrishikesh has brought together this entire team of 13; His artist selection skills are very good. The play “comments on an important episode in the history of old dramas that nobody knows about.”

The play has a total of 13 actors including Omkar Kulkarni, Sangram Salvi. Kshitish Date expressed the belief that the fans will definitely experience the fun of watching 13 people together and the play ‘Bolvita Dhani’ will be 100 percent fun for theater lovers.
