In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood many stars come and go but there are a few rare gems that attain such massive stardom that it remains unmatched. One such example of this is legendary actor Dharmendra. The He-Man of Bollywood took his last breath on 24th November 2025 at the age of 89 after battling prolonged illness. While the industry continues to mourn the loss of one of its beloved icon today Dharmendra would have turned 90. Remembering him his sons Sunny Deol and Abhay Deol lit up social media with heartfelt memories and unfiltered emotions.
Sunny Deol’s heartfelt note for Dharmendra
Taking to his social media Sunny Deol shared a heartwarming video of Dharmendra basking in nature smiling peaceful content. Remembering his father Sunny wrote “Aaj mere papa ka janamdin hai. Papa hamesha mere saath hain mere andar hain. Love you papa. Miss you.”

The actor revealed how deeply the void is felt within the family ever since Dharmendra passed away on November 24. He shared that his father had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital due to breathing issues earlier in November and was discharged on the 12th only days before his demise.
Abhay Deols emotional message for Dharmendra
Abhay Deol also paid tribute with a nostalgic childhood photograph featuring him and Dharmendra. He wrote “Must’ve been 1985 or ‘86. I had just been scolded so I was upset. He called me to him sat me down by his side and said ‘Look at the light’” recalling the moment the picture was taken.

The actor beautifully expressed how he longs to hear those words again adding “I look forward to the moment I hear him say those words to me again when my time comes. Today was his birthday.”

Sunny and Abhays tribute is an amalgamation of love sorrow but also the legacy and gratitude that refuses to fade. Today we celebrate Dharmendra not just for his impeccable work but also for the warmth he carried.
