Patna: After the formation of the new government in Bihar, extortion has been demanded from the ruling JDU MPs and MLAs. An extortion amount of Rs 10 lakh has been demanded from JDU MP from Siwan Vijay Lakshmi Devi and JDU MLA from Badharia Indradev Singh Patel. Both the leaders have been threatened with death if the ransom is not paid.

Following the threat of extortion, the MP’s representative and the MLA have applied to lodge separate FIRs in the respective police stations. After receiving the application, the police has started investigating the case. The police have claimed to reveal the entire matter soon. Police officials said that the callers are being identified and the accused will be arrested soon. In the preliminary investigation, this matter is being considered to be the action of anti-social elements. After the matter came to light, the police started investigation.
