Health Corner: A recent study has revealed that 97 percent of young and affluent Indians prefer almonds, fruits and other dry fruits as a snack in their happy moments.
The survey, conducted by market research company Lepsos, found that young and affluent Indian adults consider breakfast a way to express their happiness. Whenever they are happy, 97 percent of them like to have almonds, fruits and dry fruits for breakfast.
The survey took the opinions of 3,037 wealthy urban men and women aged 18 to 35 from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Bhopal and Coimbatore. In Bengaluru, Chandigarh and Coimbatore, 99 percent people said to have almonds for breakfast on happy occasions.

The survey also revealed that young and affluent adults want tasty, hot and crispy breakfast items, but they also prefer healthy and nutritious breakfasts. This shows that there has been a positive change in the mindset of people and they are getting more attracted towards healthy breakfast.
The survey also revealed that 82 percent people said that they do not feel guilty after having breakfast. In this context, 92 percent people in Mumbai, 86 percent in Chandigarh and 85 percent in Bengaluru gave their opinion.
