White House:  According to recent statistics, gasoline prices in the United States have fallen to their lowest point in over four and a half years. The White House attributes the development to its efforts to establish American energy supremacy.

The White House said Monday that “the nationwide average for regular gas is at its lowest level in 1,681 days — and trending lower,” citing the most recent nationwide poll conducted by GasBuddy.

Average costs “have dipped below $3 per gallon in 37 states, below $2.75 per gallon in 22 states, and below $2.50 per gallon in five states,” the announcement said. Americans are “finding [ing] gas below $2 per gallon at some stations in at least four states — with prices as low as $1.69 per gallon in Colorado.” In other regions of the nation, the decline has been even more pronounced.

Price rises under the previous Biden administration were compared to the present pattern by the White House. According to the statement, “gas prices were the highest they had ever been under Biden, even after he drained our strategic reserves to artificially lower prices.”

According to the statement, “Americans (are) on track to spend the lowest amount of their disposable income on gas in the last 20 years amid the Trump Administration’s pursuit of American energy dominance so far in President Trump’s second term.”

Although gas prices received a lot of attention in the release, the development was portrayed as part of a larger trend of favorable economic data in recent days. According to the report, Americans “saw consumer sentiment spike, weekly jobless claims plummet to a three-year low, mortgage rates near their lowest level in a year, and the national median rent fall for the fourth consecutive month.”

“This combined trend is all good news for American consumers — and much more progress is on the way,” the administration said.

“After four years of Biden’s reckless spending, open borders, and anti-energy policies that drove inflation through the roof and crushed working families, the momentum is now unmistakably in the right direction,” the White House said, directly attributing these changes to recent policy direction. “The Trump Administration will stop at nothing to ensure that all Americans feel relief,” it said.

The most recent GasBuddy data is released as energy costs continue to be a major worry for American families, particularly as winter approaches. In the past, fuel prices have had a significant impact on how consumers feel about economic management and how politicians see it.

The White House is portraying the drop in petrol prices as an indication of economic stability after years of inflationary pressure as US consumers enter the last weeks of the year.
