Patna News: While receiving treatment at the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), a brother and sister who were discovered unconscious on Sunday night close to the steps of platform one at Patna Junction died on Monday. Both may have ingested poison, according to preliminary investigations; however, it is yet unclear whether this was a suicide or the result of foul play.

Avadhesh Rai, their father, and four friends from his community showed up at the morgue on Monday afternoon. According to his statement, there was a terrible history of alienation:
No Contact for 20 Years: The father said that neither his siblings nor his children had spoken to him in the previous 20 years.
Living Situation: The siblings used to reside at Chainpur, Gopalganj, with their maternal aunt. Avadhesh Rai said that he was unaware of their present Patna residence, their companions, or their occupation.
The Father’s Profile: Avadhesh Rai is a farmer who owns two cattle and around ten bighas of land. He had already lost his wife. A fellow villager told him about the event, and he does not possess a cell phone.
Order of Events: Analysis of CCTV Footage
Using CCTV video from the station, railway police have put together the events leading up to the catastrophe.
Arrival: Near the eastern edge of platform one, which goes out of the station, the siblings were seen approaching from the direction of an alley and a restroom.
Movements: Dinesh was using a cell phone while strolling forward with a bag. Goldy, carrying a water bottle, followed him.
The Collapse: They are seen sitting on the side of the road next to the restroom in the about four-minute video. Dinesh sipped water after Goldy. Goldy softly sank onto Dinesh’s lap as he continued to chat on the phone, his back to the speaker. Dinesh also fell into the road shortly after.
Uncertain Consumption: It’s still unknown what they consumed before consuming the water.
Public Ignorance and Postponed Assistance
Video and witness reports show a startling lack of bystander aid right away.
Observers: People stopped to watch the siblings as they writhed in agony on the side of the road, but they did not step in to transport them to a hospital. After sprinkling them with water, several departed when they lost consciousness.
Relocation: After a while, a group of individuals relocated the unconscious twins to platform one’s steps and left them there, according to the footage.
Police Alert: A merchant didn’t notify the railway police till after this. The casualties were sent to PMCH’s intensive care unit as soon as the RPF and GRP arrived. Authorities pointed out that prompt medical attention may have prevented their deaths.
Status of the Investigation Father’s Statement: At the PMCH Traffic Outpost (TOP), Avadhesh Rai gave an official declaration. But as of late Monday night, neither the local police station nor the RPF nor the GRP had received the statement.
Cause of Death: Although poisoning is suspected, the circumstances surrounding the intake are still being investigated.
