To reduce salt in dal, add 2-3 small pieces of raw potato in it and cook the dal. Potatoes absorb extra salt while cooking. Apart from this, you can also reduce the extra salt from pulses by making flour balls.

Sometimes while kneading the dough, too much water is added and the dough becomes wet and sticky. In such a situation, you should immediately take dry flour, mix it with wet flour and knead it. After this, apply light water on your hands and smoothen the dough. If you want, you can also add a little semolina instead of flour. Due to this the dough sets quickly and the rotis also rise well.
If you accidentally add too much oil to the vegetable, add a little gram flour or a piece of bread and let it cook for a few minutes. The bread or gram flour absorbs the oil and the vegetable is prepared without spoiling the taste. Apart from this, adding ice cubes also reduces the extra oil. There is no need to take tension if the milk vessel burns. Add one cup of water and 1-2 spoons of baking soda or dish washing liquid in that vessel and boil for some time. The wetting will loosen on its own and can be easily cleaned with a sponge. You can also clean the utensils by adding lemon juice in it.
If there is too much chilli in the vegetable and the spiciness increases, it can be easily balanced. The easiest way is to add some curd or cream to the vegetable. This reduces the spiciness and also increases the taste. If the vegetable is gravy, then chillies can be reduced by adding boiled potatoes or tomatoes, as they absorb the spiciness.
