After‍‍‍‍‍‍ a long and strenuous physical fight that is quite demanding in nature, Shoaib Ibrahim has revealed that his wife, Dipika Kakar, is finally free of cancer. The two of them were on Rashami Desai’s podcast recently, where they talked about the experience and gave a small insight into the emotional side of the past months that have been so hard for their family. Dipika Kakar Is Cancer Free

Earlier this year, Dipika was diagnosed with cancer after she suffered from some kind of pain in the abdomen. The doctors decided to do some scans, and a CT scan revealed in May 2025 that there was a huge cancerous growth that was almost equal to the size of a tennis ball in her liver. As a result of this, she got diagnosed with an aggressive stage 2 liver cancer, and acceleration of the treatment became the only option available.

She had a radical surgery in which her liver was removed for approximately 14 hours in June. Shoaib reminisced about the day of surgery, calling it the day when the doctors had warned him that the procedure would be very long. He revealed that he was trying to be very calm and collected, and instead of succumbing to fear, he talked to God. But because the operation took longer than expected, he was overtaken by anxiety.

Moreover, he pointed out one of the most difficult moments he had with doctors when they had informed him that Dipika had been on anaesthesia longer than they anticipated and that they were thinking of putting her on a ventilator to help her breathe. Shoaib shared that he was scared stiff but insisted that the doctors should do whatever they thought was necessary for her. Luckily, Dipika was able to wake up by herself, and then the ventilator was not needed.

Shoaib also said that he couldn’t be prouder of her, and he shared with fans that the latest reports that have been done on her showed that there is no trace of cancer left. He added that although some treatment is still going on, he is very happy that she is getting well gradually and regaining her ‍‍‍‍‍‍vitality.
