Actors Nagarjuna and Vijay Sethupathi honoured Mohanlal for winning the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award .
As the trio appeared together on stage on 'South Unbound' event, Nagarjuna paused to acknowledge the heights of Mohanlal’s achievement. The 'Coolie' actor called the 'Drishyam' actor a true legend whose contributions continue to elevate Indian cinema.
“I want to congratulate Mohanlal for the Dadasaheb Phalke award. The most deserving actor and the most prestigious prize. This award is so pure and so prestigious, and it has come to the most deserving actor who holds his own in Indian cinema. This man can do anything with ease,” Nagarjuna said.
Vijay Sethupathi joined Nagarjuna in felicitating Mohanlal by draping a ceremonial shawl over his shoulders.
Mammootty meets Mohanlal on set
A week earlier, fans were treated to another heartfelt gesture when Mammootty personally congratulated Mohanlal on the Kochi set of Patriot. The actors, who have long shared mutual admiration, met during Mohanlal’s joining of the film’s final schedule. Mammootty shared a touching video of the moment with the caption, “ഫാൽക്കെ അവാർഡ് നേടിയ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട ലാലുവിന് സ്നേഹപൂർവ്വം … (To our beloved Lalu who won the Phalke Award with lots of love…)”, leaving fans emotional and celebrating their bond.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal will be again teaming up with Tharun Moorthy after 'Thudarum'. Lalettan also has the most awaited mystery thriller ' Drishyam 3 ' in the pipeline.
On the other hand, Mohanlal was last seen in the Sathyan Anthikad's directorial feel-good drama film 'Hridayapoorvam' which received good reviews from the audiences.
