IPL 2026 auction: How Gujarat Titans stack up

More than 300 players will go under the hammer in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) mini-auction set to take place on December 16.
Gujarat Titans (GT), the IPL 2022 champions, have trusted their core group heading into the bidding event.
GT, who have a potent captain in Shubman Gill, can fill in a maximum of five slots.

As mentioned, the Titans have retained most of their players.
They were also involved in a deal with Mumbai Indians (MI), having traded West Indian all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford out.
The list of players released includes Dasun Shanaka, Gerald Coetzee, Karim Janat, Kulwant Khejroliya, and Mahipal Lomror.
And they have a remaining purse of ₹12.90 crore.

Although GT have only five slots (four overseas) to fill, they would be eyeing a potent finisher. It remains to be seen if they will reunite with David Miller, who has been released by Lucknow Super Giants.
How GT fared in IPL 2025
IPL 2025
Gujarat Titans, who finished eighth in IPL 2024, bagged the playoff spot this year. Finishing third, they lost the Eliminator to Mumbai Indians.
However, their players, Sai Sudharsan and Prasidh Krishna, enjoyed dream campaigns. The two players won the Orange and Purple Caps, respectively.
Gill also led from the front with 650 runs at a strike rate of 155.88.
