For your information, let us tell you that to make sweet and sour Amla chutney, you will need 400 grams of Amla, one big spoon of raisins, 2 big spoons of mustard oil, one small spoon of roasted cumin powder, one small spoon of fennel, salt, one small spoon of red chili powder, one big spoon of roasted fennel powder, 1/4 small spoon of turmeric powder and 100 grams of jaggery. Let us learn step by step about the very easy way to make this nutrient-rich chutney.
First step- Wash all the gooseberries thoroughly and then add water and gooseberries in the cooker and let the gooseberries boil for 2 to 3 whistles or you can also grate the gooseberries. Now you have to let the gooseberries cool down.
Second step- Separate each bud of the boiled gooseberry, take out the seeds and throw it away. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin and fennel seasoning.
Third step- Add Amla in oil and cook Amla on low flame for one minute. Now you have to mix dry spices in the same pan i.e. add turmeric, salt, red chilli, coriander powder, cumin powder and raisins and cook for two minutes.
Fourth step- Finally, you have to add roasted fennel powder to this mixture. Will use jaggery instead of sugar for sweetness.
Fifth step- Add jaggery to Amla chutney and let the chutney cook for 3 to 4 minutes. As the jaggery melts, you have to mix it well in the chutney.
Sixth step- In just half an hour your sweet and sour Amla chutney is ready to serve. Eat one spoon of Amla chutney daily and keep your immune system strong in winter.
