New Delhi: ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 begins. The Indian Under-19 team will face the UAE Under-19 team in the opening match. The talent of young Indian batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi was seen in this match being played at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. He played explosive innings on the Dubai pitch.

India, which lost the toss and decided to bat first, had a bad start, captain Ayush Mhatrey scored only 4 runs. After that Vaibhav batted at a strike rate of 180 and hit a boundary. However, he stayed away from the Bewadi century. Vaibhav scored 171 runs in 95 balls which included 9 fours and 14 sixes. Uddish Suri bowled out Vaibhav.

Apart from Vaibhav, Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra had scored 69-69 runs. Vedant Trivedi also scored 38 runs, Kanishk Chauhan scored 28 runs, Abhigyan Kundu scored 32 runs and Khilan Patel scored 5 runs. Due to this, the Indian team scored 433 runs after losing 6 wickets in 50 overs.

Scored 400+ total for the third time
India crossed the 400-run mark for the third time in Youth ODI history. No team in the world has ever achieved this feat. In the first match of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025, India ended the innings at 433/6 against UAE and broke its own record of highest 400+ score in Youth ODI.

India holds the world record of most 400+ innings in Youth ODI. The Indian team has achieved this feat thrice so far. India scored 425/3 against Scotland in 2004 and 405/5 against Uganda in 2022. Only a few teams have been able to cross the 400-run mark in Youth ODI. This includes Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. Australia still holds the record for the highest team score in Youth ODI. Young Kangaroo team scored 480/6 against Kenya in 2002.
