Ricky Kej claims Zomato delivery partner stole from home

Three-time Grammy-winning composer and environmentalist Ricky Kej has alleged that a Zomato delivery agent entered his Bengaluru home and stole a sump cover.

The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday around 6:00pm.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kej shared CCTV footage and images of the alleged suspect.

He also tagged Zomato, its customer care, and multiple Bengaluru and Karnataka police officials in his post.

Kej wrote, "This was at 6 o'clock in the evening.. Quite bold of them! This is probably not their first time."

"They came in just 15 min earlier for a recce, and then trespassed and committed the crime."

"You can see the CCTV footage from 2 angles. Also screenshots of his face, and the number plate."

He added, "Also, people, be vigilant. This can happen to you too!"

Zomato and Bengaluru City Police responded to Kej's post
Response

In response to Kej's public post, Zomato responded to the complaint and expressed concern over the incident.

"This is really concerning, and we certainly don't encourage such behavior from our delivery partners."

"We'll investigate this immediately so that necessary action can be taken."

The Bengaluru City Police also replied to Kej's post, writing, "Please share incident location and your contact number via DM."
