New Delhi: The third T20 match between India and South Africa will be played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. So far in the 5-match series, both the teams have won one match each, due to which the series remains tied at 1-1.
India would like to strengthen its position by winning this match. But the form of some players remains a cause of concern for the team, among which the name of vice-captain Shubman Gill is prominent. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether Gill gets a place in the third match or not.
The third T20 match between India and South Africa is to be played in Dharamshala. This match will start at 7 pm Indian time, while the toss will be done at 6:30 pm.
Vice-captain Shubhman Gill has been struggling with his form recently. He has not crossed the 50 run mark in the last 13 innings. In such a situation, there is a discussion going on to give a chance to Sanju Samson in his place.
However, the chances of Gill being dropped are slim as he is being considered as the vice-captain of Team India and the BCCI believes that he is an important player as an alternative to Suryakumar. Therefore, the chances of him being out look very slim.
Wicketkeeper batsman Jitesh Sharma has not been able to prove himself in the opportunities he got in the recent Australia tour. If Samson gets a chance in place of Gill, then Jitesh can also be dropped from the team.
Star all-rounder Washington Sundar may get a chance in place of Jitesh. Still, it is very unlikely that there will be any major changes in the team’s playing 11.
