Uttar Pradesh News: A sensational case has come to light of Sanjay Jaiswal, Chairman of Machhilishahr Municipal Council of Jaunpur district, firing at his own house. About 10 months later, the police disclosed the entire matter and said that the conspiracy behind this incident was hatched inside the district jail, when the chairman himself was in jail in a family dispute and property scam case.

They met in jail, the conspiracy of firing was decided there

SP City Ayush Srivastava said that while being lodged in the District Jail Jaunpur, Chairman Sanjay Jaiswal met a vicious criminal. Together they planned to conduct firing at the chairman's house. Since both were detained in jail, a third person was searched to carry out the crime. Meanwhile, the accused present outside were contacted through the criminal's brother.

Deal finalized for one lakh rupees

SP City Ayush Srivastava said that Aman Singh, brother of the jailed criminal, informed his brother Nirdesh Singh that Chairman Sanjay Jaiswal is ready to pay Rs 1 lakh for firing at his house. After this, Nirdesh Singh and Himanshu Mishra alias Chhotu planned to reach the chairman's house on a motorcycle at around 5:30 am on 23 February 2025 and fired three rounds and fled from the spot.

Police made shocking revelations due to bike connection

SP City said that as part of the operation being conducted by Jaunpur police against bike thieves, Machhilishahr police arrested four accused—Nadiresh Singh alias Jumman (24), Himanshu Mishra alias Chhotu (23), Kushal Mishra and a child molester. Three motorcycles, pistol, cartridges and other items were recovered from them. It was only during strict interrogation that the conspiracy of firing at the chairman's house was revealed.

The firing was captured in CCTV

According to the police, the chairman's son Abhay Jaiswal had filed a complaint in the police station on 23 February 2025. It was told that three rounds were fired at the house with the intention of killing, the entire incident of which was captured in the CCTV camera. Now a case has been registered in this case under section 307 of IPC.

Cases are already registered under Arms Act

SP City said that many serious cases including Arms Act are already registered against the arrested accused. During interrogation, Himanshu Mishra told that he had taken the weapon for firing from one of his friends, which is being investigated.

Investigation into the role of chairman continues

Police said that the entire matter is being investigated as to why Chairman Sanjay Jaiswal got the firing done at his own house. The entire truth behind the incident will be brought out by interrogating the Chairman in this regard.
