Bihar minister Nitin Nabin appointed BJP's national working president

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Bihar minister Nitin Nabin as its new national working president. He will succeed JP Nadda in the role.
The decision was taken by the BJP Parliamentary Board and comes into immediate effect, The Times of India reported.
Nabin is a four-time Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from Patna's Bankipur constituency and currently serves as a minister in the state government.

Nabin is the son of late BJP leader Nabin Kishore Sinha. He started his political career through student politics with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and entered electoral politics in the late 2000s.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Nabin on his appointment, calling him a "hardworking and dedicated karyakarta with strong organizational credentials."
