A sprawling new Dracula-themed park is set to open in Europe as part of a €1billion (£877million) project, and it has some incredible attractions.

Dracula Land will launch in Romania, just outside Bucharest, boasting a theme park, water park, thermal spa, shopping outlet, hotels, racing track, entertainment areas, and a tech hub. The project has been "designed to become the largest entertainment, retail, and technology destination on the continent".

The main theme park, spanning 780,000 square meters, will include 40 major attractions and six immersive themed areas, in what has been dubbed the 'Transylvanian Disneyland' by local media. At the grand entrance will be Moonlit District, with attractions such as a Transylvanian Railway, a 10m double carousel, a projection and drone show, a 'Hollywood vampires immersive exhibition', and 'Legend of Vlad walkthrough experience'.

In another area, the Family Kingdom will showcase "supernatural beings from cultures across the globe" with a 4D cinema, toddler play zone, a live entertainment stage and various rides, from the magic bats to the crazy bus. There will also be a dedicated Transylvania area, "set among the Carpathian Mountains" with traditional villages and "mysterious forests", alongside roller coasters, water rides, a playground, and a village market.

One of the most iconic additions to the park will be Dracula's Castle, set within ruins, an artificial lake and gardens. More attractions will be found at the castle, including a maze, a boat ride and a fast ride through passageways.

Additionally, the Port of New Orleans will feature thrilling rides, a 4D cinema roller coaster, and carnival games. The final zone is London Town, inspired by the UK Victorian streets, with a globe theatre, horse and carriage rides, and souvenir shops.

Aside from the main theme park, there will be an aqua park and thermal spa, featuring over 30 water attractions and a wave pool, which is claimed to be one of the largest in Europe. Additionally, three hotels will be located on site: Dracula Grand Hotel, Dracula Family Hotel, and Dracula Inn, offering a total of 1,200 rooms along with various facilities.

Elsewhere, visitors will be able to shop at the fashion and home outlet, which spans approximately 9,000 square meters and features over 70 brands, as well as a selection of eateries. A multifunctional arena boasting 22,500 seats for concerts, festivals, and international events will also be found at Dracula Land.

And that's not all. A racing track and motor park, featuring a circuit approximately 4.5 km in length, also forms part of the exciting project, along with a business and tech hub.

Dracula Land is expected to open between 2026 and 2027, although a date has not yet been confirmed. However, the huge new attraction is predicted to welcome around 3 million visitors annually during its first phase.

Founder of Dracula Land, Drago Dobrescu, said: "Dracula Land brings together everything I've learned in real estate: discipline, rigour, vision, and the ability to keep complex teams with very different specialisations together.

"But more importantly, it adds a story that gives meaning to every square meter built. For me, Dracula Land is a national project - a symbol that Romania can and must build landmarks, not just buildings or simple real estate projects."
