The hijab controversy involving Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken a celebrity twist, with Rakhi Sawant publicly slamming him in a viral video.

The incident occurred during an appointment-letter distribution ceremony for over 1,000 AYUSH doctors, when a Muslim woman doctor, Nusrat Parveen, approached the stage wearing a hijab.

A clip of the event showed Kumar pulling down her veil, leaving Parveen visibly uncomfortable and triggering massive outrage online.

In the viral video, Sawant addressed Kumar directly, initially greeting him respectfully and calling herself a big fan.

However, her tone soon turned emotional and angry as she questioned his actions.

She said it was completely wrong to call a Muslim woman on stage to honour her and then touch her hijab.

"Nitish ji, yeh aapne kya kar diya?" she asked repeatedly in shock and disappointment.

"Aapko kya thoda bhi knowledge nahi hai, paanch paise ka bhi?"

Sawant stressed, "Aapko knowledge nahi hai ke Islam mein ek aurat, nakaab pehenkar jaati hai."

"Quran-E-Pak mein likha hai. Uske nakaab ko, uske abaya ko koi haath nahi laga sakta."

"Itne diggaj neta aap, CM UP ke, yeh aapne kya kar diya?...Aurat ko ek taraf aap izzat dete ho, aur uski izzat utarte ho. Sharam nahi aati aapko?"

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister's Office clarified that appointment letters were given to 685 Ayurveda doctors, 393 homeopaths, and 205 Unani practitioners.

Only 10 doctors received letters directly from Kumar while the rest were appointed online.

However, the focus remains on the viral video and Sawant's sharp reaction which continues to dominate social media discussions around the Kumar hijab controversy.
