Patna. A big good news has emerged for lakhs of poor and needy families of Bihar. Common people, who have been facing expensive treatment for a long time, are now going to get some relief. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the government has increased the amount given for the treatment of many diseases, so that patients will be able to get better and free treatment.

Relief to patients due to increase in treatment amount

Under the new system, the government will now provide more assistance than before on gall bladder operations. Whereas earlier only Rs 22 thousand 800 was given for this surgery, now the government will give Rs 32 thousand. With this, hospitals will also get paid as per the actual expenditure and there will be no situation of deferment in treatment.

Increase in treatment of kidney stones

The government has also increased the amount of assistance for the treatment of common but painful diseases like kidney stones. Earlier the government used to give 35 thousand rupees during the first treatment, now under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, an amount of up to 46 thousand rupees will be given, which will provide relief before the disease becomes serious.

Improvement in most surgery packages

Not limited to just one or two diseases, the government has increased the rates of most surgical treatments by about 35 percent. Its objective is to ensure that hospitals get the right cost of treatment and patients can get treatment under the Ayushman scheme without any hassle.

Changes still required in some treatments

However, at present there has been no change in the rates of cataract surgery, regarding which complaints have been coming from patients earlier also. It is expected that the government may take some positive decision in this direction in the coming time.
