As discussions grew louder online R Madhavan who plays Ajay Sanyal in the film was asked whether he felt overshadowed by the attention Akshaye Khanna is receiving for his role as Rehman Dakait. Putting all speculation to rest Madhavan dismissed the idea completely. He said “Not at all! I cannot be happier for Akshaye. He deserves every bit of the adulation he is getting.”

Madhavan went on to describe Akshaye Khanna as an incredibly talented and grounded actor who prefers staying away from unnecessary limelight.
