It's day nine of the World Darts Championship with another action-packed schedule at the Alexandra Palace.

Victories for Leanord Gates and Josh Rock were the highlights of the afternoon session, though the biggest news dropped following those matches. As confirmed in a shock statement by thPDC and Darts Regulation Authority, Dom Taylor has failed a drugs test and been kicked out of the tournament.

He was due to face Jonny Clayton in round two but the Welshman will now receive a bye. Taylor has previously been banned after a performance-enhancing drug was found in his system.

The action will become the focus again in just a few hours though, with Beau Greaves and Nathan Aspinall taking to the oche.
