Sultanpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath government's ambitious schemes One District One Product (ODOP) and Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (CM Yuva) are proving to be a boon for the unemployed youth of the district. Many youth have started their own businesses after getting government assistance under these schemes. Due to this, they have not only become self-reliant but are also earning good income.
The youth associated with these schemes are very happy to get employment. Some youth are earning Rs 40 thousand per month while others are earning a monthly income of up to Rs 1 lakh. With government support, the self-confidence of the youth has increased and they are providing employment to themselves as well as others.
Under the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign, interest free loans and margin money subsidy are given to the youth. With this scheme, the youth of Sultanpur have started shops, small industries, forming units and service sector businesses. At the same time, through the ODOP scheme, the traditional products of the district are getting market and recognition.
Earn 40-50 thousand every month by opening a library
Amit Yadav of Sultanpur says that he was unemployed earlier. After reading about CM Yuva Yojana in the newspaper, he applied for an interest-free loan of Rs five lakh. After investigation by the bank team, a library was started in KNI town. Today he is earning 40 to 50 thousand rupees every month and is also providing employment to three people.
Income of 70-80 thousand from beauty parlor in Sahalag
Shilpa Soni of Sultanpur city says that CM Yuva Yojana changed her life. She started a beauty parlor by taking a loan of Rs 3 lakh. Earlier she used to work at home, but now she has set up a permanent business. At the time of Sahalag, their income reaches 70 to 80 thousand rupees.
Business of 40-45 thousand per month from Moonzcraft
Rajnibala of Harakpur village of Kudwar town started the business of Moonjcraft by joining the ODOP scheme. She is earning 40 to 45 thousand rupees every month by preparing Sikaula, Patriya, Mauni and decorative items made from Moonj. She has also involved other women in this work.
226 youth got loans in the last financial year
In the financial year 2024-25, 226 youth of Sultanpur district got loans under CM Yuva Yojana. A large number of applications have been received even in the current financial year. Loans are being provided through 19 banks of the district, which include government and private banks.
Training and toolkit to artisans under ODOP scheme
Under the One District One Product scheme, traditional products of the district are promoted. Skill development training is given to artisans and craftsmen. A 10-day training is provided before toolkit distribution, which covers production techniques and entrepreneurship development.

Sultanpur Deputy Commissioner Industries Neha Singh said that these schemes of the government are connecting the youth with self-employment. Their impact is clearly visible in Sultanpur. The youth who were earlier struggling with unemployment are now moving forward with confidence. The aim of the government is that more and more youth should join these schemes and make the state self-reliant.
