Jake Paul would face Tommy Fury again, but only if the duo could agree on a 12 round bout. Paul was beaten by Anthony Joshua in Miami on Friday night.

The British icon stopped the social media star in the sixth round. Defeat to Joshua in the Netflix-broadcasted bout wasPaul's second loss since turning professional.

His only other defeat came to Fury, who secured victory on points when the two fought in Saudi Arabia back in February 2023. Ever since, there has been talk of a rematch but with Paul warning: "Only if it’s 12 rounds".

Their initial fight was an eight-round cruiserweight bout. Fury has previously claimed he would be up for taking on Paul once again.

He told ESPN: "In a heartbeat, yeah. I mean at the end of the day I think me and him, we're set in stone. He's only got one defeat and that's to me, so it's inevitable that we are going to get back in the ring."

Fury was last in action back in May. His points victory over Kenan Hanjalic was the first time the 26-year-old had fought in almost two years and it's his lack of sharpness in the ring that's one of the reasons he has yet to meet Paul in the ring once again.

The former Love Island star has admitted he turned down a rematch with Paul this year, claiming he needs at least two or three warm-up bouts first. In the documentary series "Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury", the boxer explained why he declined a rematch with Paul, which was scheduled for June.

Fury has also been accused of dodging a rematch, rebuking several lucrative offers to step back into the ring. In April, Fury was accused by Paul's promotional partner Nakisa Bidarian of declining "multiple offers" to square off with the American once more.

Bidarian said: "Tommy was offered an unbelievable deal to headline versus Jake on Netflix and they had a false sense of expectations. Jake's not gonna ever offer him that kind of money again. Now if Tommy Fury showed up and said, 'Jake, here is $20million to fight me and I'm gonna make $20million.' Right, all the power to you.

"But they've never made an offer once. And we've made multiple offers to try to make that rematch happen. And if you're very confident that you're gonna be Jake Paul, you should have jumped at the opportunity to fight him for $6million plus upside on Netflix. It's just beyond ridiculous that they didn't."

Fury, however, seems up for the clash. He recently delivered a blunt message to the 'Problem Child,' telling Boxing Social: "If I were to fight him, which I think will 100 per cent happen, then he has got to stop talking b****** like he is every single day on Twitter.

"He is offering stupid numbers that are not realistic. He thinks because he has got a few followers on Instagram and YouTube that he can call the shots, but if you want to come into a sport where we fight, then none of that matters. You lost, I won. So let's talk some realistic numbers."

If a rematch with Fury can't be made the YouTuber-turned-boxer is believed to have created a list of potential opponents.

Canelo Alvarez, Conor McGregor, KSI, Kamaru Usman, his brother Logan Paul, Ben Askren, AnEsonGib, Nate Robinson, Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz are all said to feature.

Gervonta Davis could also be on his hit list after a fight against 'Tank' fell through, with Paul then pivoting to Joshua. UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is also in his sights while Paul also mentioned Terrence Crawford, who recently announced his retirement from boxing.
