On Monday, half-yearly inspection of Kon police station was conducted by Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Anil Kumar. During the inspection, the records maintained at the police station, custody arrangements, warehouse, armory, CCTNS, progress of pending and ongoing investigations, cleanliness of the canteen room and police station premises etc. were thoroughly inspected.


After the inspection, necessary guidelines were given to the officers and employees present including the police station in-charge, to make the functioning more effective, transparent and people-oriented, proper maintenance of records, timely disposal of inquiries and ensuring decent and sensitive behavior with the public. In the same sequence, the Mission Shakti Center located at the police station was inspected under the Mission Shakti campaign, which was conducted as per the intention of the government and the instructions of the higher officials.


During this, a thorough inspection of the records to Mission Shakti was done and the action being taken daily was reviewed and the Additional Superintendent of Police directed the Mission Shakti team to inform the women and girls about their rights, safety measures and helpline numbers through women’s chaupal, public awareness programs and other means to make the campaign more effective. Also, prompt, fair and quality disposal of every complaint to women received at Mission Shakti Center should be ensured on priority basis and strict legal action should be taken against the culprits.
