Now the farmers of the state will be able to get accurate information to rain, storm and weather on time. It has been recommended in the cabinet meeting to implement the Central Government’s ambitious Weather Information Network and Data System project in Madhya Pradesh.

Rain gauge in every village, weather system in every tehsil


In the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Dr. Mohan Yadav, it was decided that under this project, automatic rain gauges will be installed in all the villages of the state, while automatic weather system will be installed in every tehsil. With this, it will be clearly known how much rainfall has occurred in which village and how the weather is going to be in the coming time. This system will prove to be very useful for farmers in crop planning.


Rs 434 crore project, direct benefit to farmers


Giving information about the decisions of the Cabinet, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh said that a total of Rs 434 crore will be spent on the Winds Project of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Out of this, the state government will bear the burden of Rs 147 crore. Through this technology, weather data will be very accurate, which will help in protecting agriculture from losses and increasing production. This decision reflects the farmer-friendly thinking of CM Mohan Yadav.



Barwah-Dhamnod road will become four lane


Another major decision to strengthening the infrastructure was also approved in the cabinet meeting. Minister Rakesh Singh said that the 63 kilometer long road from Barwah to Dhamnod will be expanded from 2 lanes to 4 lanes. This road will connect two national highways and will also provide better connectivity to major religious and tourist places like Maheshwar. The total cost of this project will be around Rs 2500 crore.


Vehicles will run at a speed of 100 km per hour


This fourlane road will be constructed by Madhya Pradesh Road Transport Authority. Initially the government will have to spend around Rs 900 crore, while the remaining amount will be repaid over 30 years. After the construction of the road, vehicles will be able to move at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour, which will speed up both traffic and trade.

Development plans also got continuity


Many important decisions to social and educational development were also taken in the cabinet meeting. Anganwadi Service Scheme has been extended till 2030-31, under which works like supplementary nutrition, Anganwadi education and building construction will continue. Apart from this, the second phase of Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University has been approved, for which an additional amount of Rs 197 crore has been recommended.



Metro network also gained momentum in Madhya Pradesh


The Public Works Minister said that after the launch of Metro in the capital Bhopal, it is now a matter of pride that Metro network has been established in two cities of the state. Permission has also been given for 3.3 km underground metro route in Indore. These decisions are being considered an important step towards making Madhya Pradesh a modern and developed state under the leadership of CM Dr. Mohan Yadav.
