Avatar Fire End Box Office Collection: The earning pace of James Cameron’s much-awaited film Avatar: Fire and Ash seemed to be slowing down on the fourth day. On Monday, the film suffered a major setback at the box office, due to which it could not cross the worldwide mark of 400 million dollars.


After an average start in North America, the film once again had to depend on the international market. Generally, the films of Avatar franchise have got the benefit of strong word of mouth, but in the case of Fire and Ash, a big decline was recorded on Monday itself, which had a direct impact on the global collection.

Avatar: Fire and Ash opened with an opening of $88 million at the domestic box office, while its worldwide collection in the first three days stood at $347 million. However, there was a huge decline in the film’s earnings on Monday and it collected only $13 million in the US.


A decline of 45 percent was recorded on Monday compared to Sunday, due to which the film could barely cross the $100 million mark at the domestic box office. This decline is considered to be different from the previous trend of the franchise.


Weak signals from international market


Even in the international market, the earnings of Avatar: Fire and Ash were less than expected. On Monday, the film added only $39 million from the overseas market. With this the international collection reached 296 million dollars.


Talking about the total earnings of four days, the worldwide box office collection of the film has now reached $398.7 million. In this way the film stopped before touching the $400 million mark.


Third biggest opener of this year


In terms of earnings, Avatar: Fire and Ash has become the third biggest opener of this year. It is in third place after record-breaking films like Zootopia 2 and Wicked for Good. However, this performance is considered weak by the franchise’s own standards.


In comparison, Avatar: The Way of Water had earned more than $500 million in its first four days. In this respect, Fire and Ash is lagging behind by about 25 percent.
