It has been one year since MT Vasudevan Nair passed away. He left the world on December 25, 2024, while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kozhikode due to age-related health issues.
Actor Mammootty shared a simple but touching post that caught everyone’s attention. Sharing a pic with the legend, Mammootty wrote on Facebook, “One year since my beloved mentor passed away. Always in my memories.”
A bond that shaped a life
The bond between Mammootty and MT Vasudevan Nair was very strong. It was a true guru and disciple relationship. Malayalis have seen this bond grow over many years. After MT’s death, Mammootty had written an emotional note. He said that MT was the biggest blessing of his film life. He also said he was lucky to act in many roles that carried MT’s soul.
When he was young Muhammed Kutty dreamed of bringing one of MT’s characters to life. He never knew if that dream would come true.

Talking to Asianet News, she said the film is planned as a global project. Ashwathi said, “For the last two years, I have been fully involved with this project. It is a big team. Team building is almost complete.” She also said, “There is a big production house, and a team that is very capable of making this film well.” Ashwathi added that they want to launch it properly with a first-look poster. She said, “We can definitely expect it in 2026.”
On the other hand, Mammootty will be next seen in the most awaited upcoming action flick 'Patriot' which has a huge star cast including Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban and many more.
