Vaibhav Suryavanshi: These days, there is a lot of buzz in India about Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. The new season has started from 24th December. On the first day, 14 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut for Bihar in this tournament. In his very first match, he created such a storm that the whole country started chanting his name. In his debut match, he created a series of records by scoring 190 runs. Even after this strong start, the fans have got a big shock, because Vaibhav will no longer be seen in the remaining matches of this tournament. It is big for him to leave the tournament after playing just one match. There are two big reasons behind this.

What is the first reason?

Vaibhav had to be left out of the Vijay Hazare Trophy because he has been selected for the Prime Minister's National Children's Award by the Central Government. This honor is given to the most talented children of the country. Vaibhav has scored 7 centuries since his IPL debut in 2025. Vaibhav is going to receive this prestigious award from the hands of President Draupadi Murmu Vaibhav at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday 26th December. For this ceremony, Vaibhav had to leave for Delhi immediately after his first match. During this time, he is also proposed to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, due to such a big honor he had to sit out of the remaining matches of the tournament.

Second reason- Will join Under 19 team

The second reason for being out of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-6 is Vaibhav's busy schedule with the Under 19 team. This stormy left-handed opener will join the Under-19 team. India's Under 19 team will leave for South Africa tour on 30 December. Where he has to play a series of three ODI matches between January 4 and January 9. This series is an important part of the preparations for the Under-19 World Cup 2026 in 50 over format to be held next year. In such a situation, it was not possible for Vaibhav to remain in the domestic tournament. This means that Vaibhav will now miss all the remaining matches of Vijay Hazare Trophy this year.

Had a historic performance in the first match

Let us tell you here that in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, Bihar played its first match against Arunachal Pradesh, in which Vaibhav Suryavanshi stole the show. He played an explosive inning of 190 runs in just 84 balls. He completed his century in 36 balls and by completing 150 runs in just 59 balls, he also broke AB de Villiers' world record of scoring the fastest 150 runs. 16 fours and 15 sixes came from Vaibhav's bat. On the basis of his historic innings, Bihar scored a huge score of 574 runs and won the match easily.
