Actor Kiccha Sudeep said that Kannada actors regularly act in other languages, but actors from other languages rarely come forward to act in Kannada films.

During the release of Mark, Sudeep gave several interviews at different places. In one such interview, a comment made by him has now become a topic of discussion. Many people have come forward in support of Sudeep’s statement.

Sudeep said this is the era of pan-India cinema, where actors from every language act in other languages. Speaking about Kannada cinema, he pointed out that Shivarajkumar has acted in Tamil and Telugu films, while Upendra has appeared in several Telugu movies.

Sudeep himself has earlier acted in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu films. Actors like Kiccha Sudeep, Upendra, and Shivarajkumar are Kannada superstars and enjoy a strong fan following in other languages as well. However, he noted that star actors from other languages appearing in Kannada films is very rare.

Speaking on this issue, Sudeep said Kannada actors often appear in other language films, including guest roles, but artists from other languages are not ready to act in Kannada films.

He also said that he personally requested a few actors to act in Kannada films, but it did not work out. He expressed disappointment, stating that effort is needed from both sides, and that effort is currently missing.

Several Kannada actors have acted in other language films. Shivarajkumar appeared in Jailer and Peddi, while Upendra was recently seen in Andhra King Taluka. Sudeep has acted in films like Baahubali, Eega, and Dabangg 3, among others.

Many people have supported Sudeep’s statement. Apart from Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who appeared in a Kannada film, very few major actors from other languages have acted in Kannada cinema.
