There's great news once again for young people in Bihar who dream of becoming teachers. The state government has accelerated preparations for the fourth phase of teacher recruitment (TRE 4). Education Minister Sunil Kumar has clarified that the government is fully committed to filling the vacant positions in schools and other educational institutions. This announcement has not only brought relief to general teacher candidates but has also raised hopes for new opportunities for librarians and special education teachers. TRE 4 Teacher Recruitment Process Accelerated

Bihar's Education Minister Sunil Kumar stated in a press conference that after the third phase, the fourth phase of the teacher recruitment process is being expedited. He said that complete details of vacant teacher positions in all government schools of the state are being collected. This process is in its final stages, and the list of all vacancies will be sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) by January 15, 2026.



Following this, the BPSC will issue an advertisement and formally begin the recruitment process. The government aims to ensure that the recruitment process is transparent and that eligible candidates get an opportunity promptly. This phase will include the recruitment of not only general teachers but also other important positions.



The Education Minister informed that there are plans to appoint approximately 5,500 librarians to strengthen school libraries. In addition, around 7,000 special education teachers will be recruited to improve the education of children with disabilities. Data on vacant teacher positions at the university level has also been requested.



Possibility of Recruitment of 1215 Teachers in Muzaffarpur District

Preparations for TRE 4 have also been completed in the Muzaffarpur district. According to the Education Department, a total of 1215 new teachers may be appointed in the district. The data shows that the greatest need is in secondary and higher secondary schools.



524 positions have been identified for higher secondary classes (11-12), while 312 positions are vacant at the secondary level (9-10). In addition, recruitment is proposed for 188 positions in middle schools (grades 6-8) and 191 positions in primary schools (grades 1-5).



This announcement has sparked new hope among thousands of candidates who have been waiting for a long time. The government claims that all formalities will be completed within the stipulated timeframe so that the teacher recruitment process can begin as soon as possible.
