Luke Littler cruised through to the quarter-finals of the World Darts Championship after defeating Rob Cross 4-2 last night. The 18-year-old, who defeated Michael van Gerwen in last season's final to lift the Side Waddell trophy for the first time, was in fine form at the oche as he dispatched Cross with ease.
Littler was booed during the match and lashed out at the crowd in the aftermath of his win as he explained: "I'm not bothered. Really not bothered.
"You guys pay for tickets and you pay for my prize so thanks for booing me No one wanted me to win but I proved them wrong yet again."
World No. 2 Luke Humphries will be hoping to join his rival in the last eight when he goes head-to-head with Kevin Doets in the final match of Tuesday evening.
That clash follows a blockbuster showdown between Van Gerwen and Gary Anderson, with the likes of Gian van Veen and Josh Rock also in action a bit later on.
