Raipur News: Many important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.




  1. In the meeting of the Council of Ministers, permission was given to give guarantee of the state government for taking loan for the year 2026 for purchasing tendu leaves from tendu leaf collecting families at the rate of Rs 5500 per standard bag.

  2. The Council of Ministers gave permission to provide working capital to Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Association for purchase, processing and sale of Kodo, Kutki and Ragi.

  3. The Council of Ministers has decided to provide a one-time interest-free loan of Rs 30 crore to Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Association for purchasing, storage, processing, value addition and marketing of denationalized minor forest produce.

  4. The Council of Ministers took an important decision regarding the loans taken by Chhattisgarh State Antyavasya Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation on the guarantee of the state government. Under this, the state government made a budget provision of Rs 55.69 crore and approved to return the full amount of loans taken from five national corporations. These national corporations are National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation, National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation, Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation, Minority Finance and Development Corporation and Disabled Finance and Development Corporation.



At present, interest of about Rs 2.40 crore is being paid annually by the state government on these loans. This interest expense will be completely eliminated once the loan is fully repaid. Also, on receipt of NOC (No Due Certificate) from the national corporations, the pending guarantee liability of Rs 229.91 crore given by the government will also be eliminated. This decision will reduce the financial burden on the state government and will ensure savings from unnecessary expenditure in future.




  1. The Council of Ministers has decided that



  • The incentive amount on milling is Rs 20. It was increased from Rs 40 per quintal. per quintal



  • Now all millers will have to mill for minimum 02 months instead of 3 months to be eligible for incentive amount.



  1. The Council of Ministers decided to amend the Industrial Development Policy 2024-30. This will remove discrepancies regarding publicity, appointment of experts and issuance of service activity certificates for successful implementation of the policy. These amendments will increase the quality of investment in the state, create permanent employment and give impetus to industrial development.

  2. The Council of Ministers has taken an important decision to provide 50 percent exemption in life time road tax on vehicles sold during the 9th Auto Expo organized from January 20 to February 5 at the Science College Ground in the capital Raipur. This exemption will be applicable at the time of registration after the sale of the vehicle in the expo, which will provide one-time relief of 50 percent in motor vehicle tax. Vehicle sellers across the state will benefit from this, instructions have been given in this regard.

  3. The Council of Ministers has taken an important decision to reduce the stamp duty payable on the bank guarantee given by rice millers for activities to paddy procurement and transportation for custom milling in the state from 0.25 to 0.05 percent.

  4. The Council of Ministers has given approval to create a new post of Officer on Special Duty in Pay Matrix Level-14 on a permanent basis for a period of one year at Police Headquarters, Chhattisgarh Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.

  5. The Council of Ministers has taken a decision regarding implementation of the Police Commissioner system in Raipur Metropolitan Police District from January 23.
