Tharparkar cow

Whereas Tharparkar cow is known as ‘Dudharu Sona’ among cattle farmers. The biggest specialty of this breed is that it can easily tolerate both extreme heat and cold. The color of Tharparkar cow is usually white or gray and light blue stripes are found on its back. Its head is of medium size, ears are wide and the tail is thin and long.

Tharparkar cow has the capacity to give about 15 to 18 liters of milk per day. This cow can produce about 1500 to 2200 liters of milk in one calving. Apart from this, this breed also has high immunity against diseases, due to which it does not fall sick easily. Due to good health and more milk, farmers can earn more profits with less expenditure.

The special thing is that Tharparkar cow can be reared like normal cows. It does not require any special diet or care. This is the reason why Rathi and Tharparkar breed of cows are proving to be a better option for cattle farmers and by choosing the right breed, farmers can increase their income significantly.
