The Kashf Foundation is making a comeback on television with its seventh production, ‘Aik Aur Pakeezah,’ a socially relevant drama written by acclaimed playwright Bee Gul (Talkhiyaan, 2012; Raqeeb Se, 2021) and directed by Kashif Nisar (Mrs. & Mr. Shameem, 2022).
The drama features Sehar Khan and Nameer Khan in lead roles, supported by a strong ensemble including Amna Ilyas, Nadia Afgan, Gohar Rasheed, Hina Khawaja Bayat, and Noorul Hassan. The teaser, released on January 1, 2026, hints at a gripping storyline tackling critical social issues.
‘Aik Aur Pakeezah’ addresses cyber harassment, gender-based violence, coerced marriages, and the systemic obstacles women face in seeking justice. Sehar Khan’s character becomes the victim of a manipulated video circulating online, highlighting societal pressure and family judgment that often forces women into silence.
The series also explores male harassment through the character of Faraz, played by Nameer Khan, shedding light on the unequal treatment of victims across genders.
For over twenty years, the Kashf Foundation has championed women’s financial empowerment in low-income communities.
The story follows Pakeezah, played by Sehar Khan. Her life collapses after a manipulated video of her goes viral. She is forced into marriage and faces societal stigma. She also struggles with institutions and the permanent digital traces left behind. Amna Ilyas plays barrister Saman, Pakeezah’s strong-willed lawyer. Nameer Khan portrays Faraz, a male character who highlights harassment faced by men and the different societal reactions to male and female victims. The cast also includes Noorul Hassan, Hina Khawaja Bayat, and Nadia Afghan.
