The biggest mistake is considered to be keeping the Ganga water in the wrong place. Many people keep it in the bathroom, kitchen sink, or near the ground. According to the scriptures, Ganga water should never be kept in an impure place. Keeping it near the bathroom or toilet affects its sanctity. It should always be kept in a high and clean place. Keeping the Ganga water near the puja room or temple is considered the best.
