PWL 2026 Auction: The Pro Wrestling League 2026 auction took place on January 3. After six years of waiting, this Indian wrestling league is coming back. The auction was highly competitive, with teams bidding millions for various players. Japan’s Yui Susaki became the most expensive player, with Haryana Thunders paying a whopping Rs 6 million to sign her. Many sportsmen’s luck shined in the auction and they became rich.

A lot of money was showered on the players in the PWL auction

Yui Susaki was the most expensive player in the PWL auction. Poland’s Robert Baran was the most expensive player in the men’s category. Maharashtra Kesari added him to their team for ₹5.5 million (Rs 5.5 million). In the PWL auction, wrestlers are divided into four categories (A+, A, B and C). In the A+ in the women’s category, along with Susaki, Ananti Panghal was also a favourite. UP Dominators added her to their team for ₹5.2 million (Rs 5.2 million).

In the men’s category, A-grade player Sujit Kalkal was bought by Delhi Dangal Warriors for ₹5.2 million and in the women’s category, Anastasia Alpayeva was added to the squad for ₹2.7 million. 2024 Olympic gold medalist Aman Sehrawat was signed by Mumbai Dangal for ₹5.1 million.

When will PWL 2026 start?

Pro Wrestling League 2026 is scheduled to start on January 15. All matches will be played at Noida Indoor Stadium. The competition will run till 1st February 2026. After a long wait of six years, PWL has finally been relaunched. Hope this season will be a huge success.
