There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Whereas fog in the plains can create a cold day-like situation.

According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in some parts of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on January 6. Whereas in areas with altitude above 2800 meters there is a higher possibility of snowfall.

On the other hand, yellow alert has been issued for dense fog and frost in some parts of Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Champawat and Pauri districts including Dehradun. Due to this, a cold day like situation may arise.

At the same time, if we talk about Monday’s weather, although there was relief from fog during the day in the plains, the cold waves caused trouble. If we look at the data, the maximum temperature of Doon was recorded at 20.8 degrees, one degree higher than normal. However, there was a drop in temperature due to cold wave in the hilly areas. Talking about the coming days, the weather will remain dry across the state till January 11.
