  • 4-5 bread

  • 2 onion finely chopped

  • 1 Tomato finely chopped

  • 2-3 Green chilly finely chopped

  • 2 spoon green coriander finely chopped

  • 1/2 spoon Ginger grated

  • 2 spoon Oil

  • 1/2 spoon garam masala

  • 1/2 spoon coriander powder

  • 1/3 spoon chilli powder

  • 1/2 spoon turmeric powder








Step 1: Preparing Ingredients




  1. First of all, cut all the slices of bread into four equal pieces. Cut onion, potato and tomato into small pieces.






Step 2: Plating the Pan




  1. Now keep a pan on the gas. Let the pan get slightly hot so that the vegetables get cooked properly while adding them.






Step 3: Add vegetables




  1. Add onion, potatoes and green chillies to hot pan. Cook them while stirring on medium flame so that the onions become slightly soft.






Step 4: Adding Tomatoes




  1. Now add chopped tomatoes to the pan and mix well with the vegetables. Gravy will start making from tomatoes.






Step 5: Add spices




  1. Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric and salt as per taste. Mix all the spices well so that the vegetables get flavored.






Step 6: Add water and cook




  1. Now add 1½ glasses of water into the pan. Cover and cook until the potatoes are completely cooked and the curry becomes slightly thick.






Step 7: Add Bread




  1. When the potatoes are cooked, add bread pieces to it. Then add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. This will give fresh aroma and taste to the curry.






Step 8: Serving Tasty Bread Curry




  1. After cooking for 2–3 minutes, turn off the gas. Serve hot Desi Bread Curry and enjoy.

  • The bread can always be fresh or slightly old, but not too stale, otherwise the curry will taste bad.

  • Before adding the bread, the curry masala and gravy should be well heated and the spices should be roasted, this prevents the bread from spoiling quickly and enhances the taste.
